Akeso Coaching Network is a Community Interest Company, which aims to develop a self-sustaining community practice of coaches that supports the effectiveness and wellbeing of those employed within the Primary Health Care System in the East of England.

Coaching and Mentoring

We support professionals working in primary care who feel they might benefit from some time to reflect on issues that they face that may impact on their work and life – ranging from skills and performance to more developmental areas. A trained colleague within the Akeso network will facilitate confidential sessions.

These sessions will support you to explore issues and set goals and methods of assessing progress in relation to the goals in a non-judgemental way. All Akeso coaches have undertaken training endorsed by the ILM and attend regular coaching supervision and CPD.

An Introduction to Coaching and Mentoring Skills for Primary Health Care Professionals

A Blended Learning Programme

Akeso is committed to offering, developing and supporting coaching and mentoring for primary healthcare professionals. We have offered an ‘Introduction to Coaching’ programme for many years – now an online programme over six weeks, developed with our partners, The Madison Group, and their accredited programmes and trainers.

The majority of the training hubs in the East of England commission Akeso to provide training for those who wish to become coaches and mentors; primarily GPs, GP trainees, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers.
