Introduction to Mindfulness

It is easy to stop noticing the world around us, to become caught up in our own minds and overwhelmed by our thoughts and feelings. When those thoughts and feelings are anxious or stressed, we can quickly develop a cycle of negative thinking that is hard to break. Practicing mindfulness can help you to reconnect with your body, your mind and your environment. Through learning a skill called meditation, we practice repeatedly letting go of thoughts as they arise. So instead of getting lost in thoughts of past or future, we focus our full attention on the direct experience of the present moment.
